This was at New York New York quite some time ago. The food there's quite mediocre and there's nothing special, or just maybe we ordered the wrong stuff : (

And this was when we were at Marina Square the other day and I was busy snapping pictures of the OSIM roadshow, hoping to use the pictures for my financial accounting presentation. haha
This was at Sentosa the other day when we went tanning and building sandcastles.

The animal show we went to before we went off from Sentosa was really good! Though more disorganised than those found at the zoo and night safari, it's much more interactive cos it's much smaller scale.

And the best thing was, there was the super handsome HUSKY!!!

Just a short post about my second trip to VivoCity the other day. We visited Toy'R'Us and there were many cool stuff cos it's Halloween season. Funny how the last time we were there it was around the same time too.

Us in the many different witch/wizards hats! haha i look really spastic in the spider hat picture. -__-

We had a lot of fun trying out random hats/masks at toysRus. That's me trying my bestest to look like a cute little rabbit with my irritating yucky front teeth. I have no idea what the pumpkin hat is for.

That's me looking really ridiculous, Calvin made me do this!

These really funky coloured rubber wigs are damn fun! I remember they were also there last year but we found some new additions so we could not resist trying them on!
That was the really cool astronaut at the ceiling of the store. And us with the Toys'R'Us Giraffe at the entrance of the store!
Going to Toys'R'Us brings out the kiddy nature in everyone! Damn good way to destress and have some kickass fun!

There's something wrong with my tagboard. So leave me a note at the comments page after each post instead!! =)

Anyway, this post will be dedicated to the SPCA event on World Animal Day, PAWS IN THE PARK at Bishan Park. We had a smashing time and my LTB group got many many people to sign up as SPCA members! Far more than what we had expected. Much was due to the fact we had Canon's very kind and generous sponsorship. We took photographs and printed them instantly with the Canon Selphy printers free of charge for the dog lovers at the carnival. Many members of the public were quite surprised the photo taking was all free of charge as most people (most Singaporeans) would expect it to be chargeable.

The Canon Selphy printers at work!

By the way, this blog entry will have many many pictures! Because while I was uploading the pictures for this blog post, I just couldn't stop myself from uploading more and more pictures of all the super cute doggys!

Also, I would like to apologise for posting up pictures of members of the public without their permission. But since most pictures were dog lovers with their pets, and I really want to share all the cool pictures of the super cute doggys, so...many apologies!

So here goes...!

Firstly, presenting my favourite dog breed..the handsome HUSKY!!!

There is another Husky in the background, one with very unique colour fur.

Then next up we have another dog who also attracted much attention at the carnival. Small little cutie below...

With its equally cute shirt!
The ADIDOG!!

Anyway, Calvin also brought Mango to Bishan Park for some fun, so let's give Mango some airtime! Mango has grown bigger over these few months but she's still a really cute baby. There was this Caucasian lady at the carnival who was really smitten with Mango cos she kept coming back to play with Mango. When I asked if she wanted picture with Mango, she replied that she wanted to take Mango home!! =)

Speaking of Mango, we brought her to the dog run to run around freely and interact with other dogs. She was quite shy at first cos she has interacted more with humans than with other dogs. At first, she kept running back to Calvin like a real little baby! It was really cute to watch. But anyway, the point is..Mango got hustled and scared by these dogs below!!

These huge poodles (there were 3 of them belonging to the same owner!) attracted much attention at the carnival for their sheer size and also, the carefully groomed fur.

About Mango being hustled, it was just that the white huge poodle suddenly charged at Mango at the dog run and was trying to be friendly. But poor little Mango was so so so scared that she just curled up into a ball and did not dare to move. It was only when the owner of the poodle came over and ordered the poodle into retreat that little Mango was 'rescued'! =)

So poor thing! But the poodle was just trying to be friendly, just that Mango is too small. Don't be deceived by Mango's initial fear and skepticism, cos later on Mango practically jumped at all the other dogs when she got excited and warmed up.

Next, my favourite picture!! I was damn amused and tickled when I saw this picture cos I can't find the doggy's eyes!! Damn freaking cute right! I didn't notice this doggy if not I would have gone up to take picture with it!

Next, another small cutie doggy. With a small cutie girl.

Wearing small not-very-cute mini pink crocs.
But anyway, cute photogenic little doggy.

Besides really cute and handsome doggies, there were many really pretty owners too!

This lady's really photogenic huh? She's got a great great smile and a very obedient doggy!

After looking through the huge pile of pictures we took from that day, I realised some owners and dogs look alike! I don't mean that the owners really look like dogs, it's just that certain characteristics or features look alike.

Let's examine how the owners and doggy can be similar...

.

.

.

.

1) Like how the beautiful multi-coloured fur of the doggy complements the hair color of the owner..

2) And the equally sunshine and bright SMILES of the owner and doggy!!

3) Don't you think this lady's face shape is quite similar to her dog's?

4) Lastly, very alike in character and nature - stubborn and obstinate. Very aptly reflected in both owner and doggy's refusal to look at the camera!

:)

By the way, it was a star-studded event at PAWS IN THE PARK!

Firstly, we spotted Julian Hee and got him to wrote a note on our Care and Share Board. Next, we had Maia Lee visiting our booth and we took pictures with both of them!!

The very sweaty Julian Hee in his blading gear. One of my group mate, who did not know him cos she's from another country, was quite smitten with him afterward! Haha =)

And that's Maia Lee, looking really young and sweet.

Hope you have enjoyed the pictures as much as I have enjoyed the carnival! I've got many more but there's no time to post all the pictures up!

Countdown to Biz Law mid-terms - 4 more days!!!

Tuesday, October 10

Yay, the past two days were spent at the very newly opened VivoCity @ Harbourfront. We spent the first day discovering and exploring the new exciting mall and then finally settled down at the very very comfortable Pacific Coffee Co. The cafe is divided into the indoor area and the outdoor verandah area and all the couches and tables make me feel like I'm holidaying in Mauritius or something. Damn nice.

That's me while studying hard for my Business Law. I'm still at Offer and acceptance, damn!

As usual, we started photowhoring when I get bored of studying. That's my baby notebook =)))

The view from the Pacific Coffee is quite cool. We could see the Visitor Centre of Sentosa, the Merlion etc. So as the sky darkens and evening falls, the lights from the cable cars and Sentosa made the view even more spectacular. Okay lah, not spectacular, but it was nice enough =)

Then it got kinda dark for me to read my Law, so I started using my laptop's 1.3megapixels camera to take pictures. It started off all nice and normal...

Then we did the PUFFYFACE :O

Then the PUFFYFACEWITHBIGEYES =O

When it got even darker, my lousy 1.3megapixel camera on my notebook started to fail me. So we started taking SHUTTER pictures =)

My super successful and scary picture!! SCARY RIGHT!!!!

Calvin's attempt =)

More nonsensical pictures..

And a dose of narcissism.

Then we went to check out the rooftop thingy and the whole place was like a garden with a big big river. Go check out the place for yourself. Quite pretty at night.

The top view of the playground area.
I'll blog about my 2nd day at VivoCity another day. Meanwhile, go check it out if you have the time but many shops are not opened yet.

Back to mugging =)

Saturday, October 7

Yesterday was the first in a loooong time I walked and exercised so so much! We went around the Bishan area giving out flyers and promoting a SPCA event which is happening this Sunday. It was really hard work because we went door to door and only gave the flyers out to those people who opened their doors to us. But it was really really fun!! That's us in the lift going up the HDB block. We got to see many dogs in the houses and kids too! Actually Singaporeans are not that unfriendly or cold after all, most people were willing, though not necessarily happy to entertain us.
Oh I really like the following picture. The guy on the left is just a random stranger my friends gave out flyer to. And the other two guys are my friends in my LTB group. The picture is cool cos all of them are wearing black!! Even the cool handsome dog is wearing a really chio coat of black fur! I seriously love that handsome dog. Damn cool.

Well, by the end of the promotion thing, we were all damn damn exhausted and tired.
I went home in this semi-conscious state cos I was so damn
tired. Anyway it was Mid Autumn Festival and taking in the fact that I probably will stop playing with candles etc soon, we went to the park downstairs for some fire action. My stupid cousin kept playing with lighters and fire and stuff like boiling the wax in a can. Damn gross. I think we can be sued for like damage of public property. Opps.

Oh I took this damn cool picture of Calvin playing with the fireworks. Nice huh!
Yay, everyone head down to Bishan Park 2, Dog Run area tomorrow SUNDAY, anytime from 1030 to 600pm!! There'll be many many many dogs and activities like balloon sculpting and face painting too! So exciting! =)
Remember, if you have a dog, bring it down to Bishan Park tmr for some fun with other dogs. It's a annual SPCA carnival for animal lovers and their pets. Got ear-cleaning services etc at cheap cheap prices. COME ON DOWN!!
